Local ministry background:
Pavel was not raised in Christian background. However, thanks to friends who accompanied him on his life’s journey, he discovered his own path to God. Today, he is a member of a Roman Catholic parish. He believes that the Healthy Youth ministry among children provides an opportunity to pass on sound life values based on the Christian faith.

He has been fully dedicated to leading the HY programs since 2022. He offers certified programs from well-known non-profit Christian organization called ACET, and programs from the Spiritual Heritage series. He works primarily with elementary schools in the east Bohemia region.

He expects his work as a HY worker to have a lasting impact on children and youth in the areas of relationships, personal development, and values:
“The Healthy Youth programs in schools guide pupils and students toward open communication, healthy self-esteem, and respectful behavior toward themselves and others. They gain information and skills that help them better navigate challenging situations in everyday life and the online environment, while also learning to recognize and avoid risky behavior.”

As part of his follow-up activities, Pavel leads a board game club where children can develop their logical thinking, learn to cooperate and be patient, and also learn to accept defeat.
He is also an instructor of a Brazilian martial art for children. During training, he helps children build physical fitness and discipline, respect for others, and healthy self-confidence.
He is also a co-organizer of the ‘Let’s Clean Up Czechia’ project, through which he encourages children and youth to take an interest in public spaces and to take responsibility for the environment.

Pavel says: “The main goal of my ministry is to encourage open and authentic communication among children, which builds mutual trust and friendship, all in the spirit of Christian values.”

More about programs

How he became a HY Worker:
Throughout his life’s journey, Pavel has been particularly drawn to working with children—their sincerity, openness, and receptiveness to the values passed on to them: “I realized how important it is to nurture their growth, to be a source of support for them, and to guide them on their life’s journey. I want to pass on to them not only knowledge, but also God’s love and a worldview that offers meaning and hope.”

At the same time, Pavel continues his education so that he can make his ministry to the young generation more effective. In the summer of 2025, among other things, he completed an accredited Mediator retraining course. This helped him acquire effective tools for constructively resolving conflicts and conducting conversations in challenging situations.
