Local ministry background:
Radomir comes from a family that has been an integral part of the local Evangelical church for many generations. During his turbulent adolescence, he began to seek a personal relationship with God again and in 1999 he fully committed his life to him. He became involved in church ministry, especially among the youth. He studied at a theological seminary, feeling a strong calling to the ministry. Radomir says, “Reaching the young generation with the gospel is crucial for the well-being of our country, and I believe that God cares about and loves young people. I want very much to support and encourage them as they enter life and society.”

He began in the Healthy Youth ministry in 2013, starting under the guidance of experienced colleagues from the non-profit organization ACET CZ. However, he has been working with children and youth since 2000 (initially as the leader of the Royal Rangers club, then as a youth preacher and worker in leisure clubs for street children).

Nowadays, he mainly offers programs from the series ‘Respect for Life’, the certified programs of the non-profit Christian organization called Ethical and Character Education, which focus on problematic class collectives. These are the HY topics that are mainly devoted to relationships among children in the 1st to 5th grade of elementary school. In the 5th to 9th grades, topics such as addiction, the risks of cyberspace, and risky sexual behavior are added.

At the same time, he is also intensively involved in recruiting and training new HY workers and for children and youth.

In addition to school programs, he is involved in the Superman leisure club for teenagers. Throughout the year, he is involved as a speaker at weekend events and summer camps for children and young people.

More about programs

How he became a HY Worker:
Radomir has many years of experience working with children and young people. From being the leader of a leisure club and a HY worker, he has moved on to actively seeking out and preparing others who would join the ranks of HY workers in Czech schools.

He hopes that the Healthy Youth ministry will help to change the oppressive and stifling school atmosphere into one that is safe, hopeful, and open to life. He wants to give children a sense of belonging, of what it’s like to feel well among others. He believes that the experience of a respectful approach helps children and young people build a healthy identity. Through his personal example, he wants to pass on healthy values, attitudes towards life, and guidance to children and young people.
