We have recharged in and now we can go back to school with joy!
September 5th–6th, 2022
Children in schools need the service of the HY Workers. The HY programs bring new light and hope into their life. But who gives out, needs to recharge….
We have had another unique year of the Workers Conference, this year already the eighteenth. And it was awesome.
Pump it up! This was core theme of the entire conference. We firmly believe that each of the 43 attendees gained strength, zest, simply everything they needed. The unambiguously unrivalled setting of the Immanuel Conference Center contributed to the pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. We had a really great time.
How did the participants themselves evaluate the course of meeting? Some feedbacks of many:
“Thank you very much for the organization, for the encouragement, for the sincerity and honesty.”
“I’m grateful that I could join the Workers Conference this year. I was very encouraged.”
“Thanks for creating a relaxed atmosphere and a well-prepared program.”
We traditionally started the program with an outdoor activity. We were able to experience first-hand, what children might experience when the HY Workers include an interesting game in the program. Once again, we were reminded of the importance of cooperation, perseverance, commitment, but also a sharp mind and improvement ideas.
After the initial ‘ice-breaker’ warm-up, we dove headfirst into our theme for this year, “Pump it up!”
We were wondering:
Where do we get our inspiration? What works out for us in schools?
What specifically do we do for ourselves to be in shape in all aspects?
What if something goes wrong? Can we still persevere and continue in our ministry?
There was offered a copious multitude of topics for thinking.
Neither the space for sharing personal experiences, questions, failures or successes was missing, which the participants themselves evaluated as one of the greatest contributions of the whole conference.
A few important thoughts that were expressed:
“Everyone has the right to make mistakes. But long-term bad attitudes are not okay.”
“A mistake gives space for improvement.”
“The more you know yourself and your heart, the better HY Worker you will be.”
“We don’t just communicate with children in classrooms. We are also there for the teachers and school management.”
In fact, it comes often out of the mouths of teachers that the incoming HY Workers is heard, “Thank you for coming. With you always comes also the hope.”
After the regeneration in the ‘Healthy Youth Workers’ spa’, the HY Workers can now boldly go out to schools among eager children. With zest into it, dear servants! May you always have the opportunity to recharge everything that you need; may it work out well and reflect well on your wonderful ministry.
