More about programs
How she became a HY Worker:
Ivona has been working as a catechist in her home church since 1996. She has been teaching religion and Christian ethics to children from 4 to 13 years old and even after all these years she finds working with children fulfilling and fun.
She started to work as a catechist right after her studies. She graduated from the Bible College in Olomouc, the pedagogical minimum at the University in Olomouc and practical theology at the mission school in Heiligenkreutz, Austria.
Program topics and resource:
For her ministry Ivona uses primarily the sets of lessons of Christian teaching from the Children’s Mission and from the non-profit organization TIM 2.2.
She also creates her own work sheets prepared especially for the individual groups of children.
Feedback
“Mrs. Ivona has been teaching evangelical religion and Christian ethics in our school for over 20 years.
As a directon of this school, I can confirm from our experience the positive benefits of teaching religion and Chrisitan ethics to our pupils. The HY Worker does a good and beneficial job, she approaches the children with kindness and professionalism. Through her work, pupils develop important values and attitudes that are part of a general cultural outlook. She promotes the development of empathy, tolerance and respect for others and their differing views.
At the same time, it contributes to the all-round development of our pupils and helps them to better navigate in today’s multicultural world.”
