Local ministry background:
Marie grew up in a Christian family. In addition to her family, her peers – believing friends, worship fellowship at church, the troop – as well as scout leaders and other adults contributed to the formation of her personal faith. That’s why, in her place, she too wants to serve as a mediator between others and God, to guide them through a bit of the journey of life as she has received from others before.

She joined the Healthy Youth ministry in February 2024 after passing the HY-workers’ exams in January 2024. In spite of difficult beginnings, e.g. the need to study a large amount of materials needed for the programs, Marie has managed to establish cooperation with about 30 schools in her region. She offers HY programs from the Ethical Workshop series of the certified non-profit Christian organization Hope4kids.

After proper training, in September 2024, Marie joined the ministry in the online counselling service. The counselling is intended for children and young people, especially those whom the HY workers meet in schools as part of their HY ministry.
She has been actively participating on leading a students’ choir since 2005.

How she became a HY Worker:
Marie first started her HY ministry peripherally to her job (high school teacher). However, she has become increasingly aware of the importance and benefits of HY ministry. She recalls that in addition to her family, peers, scout leaders and other adult role models contributed to her personality formation and direction as she grew up. She is glad that she too can and does have something to pass on to children and youth today, and that she can serve and guide them through part of their journey through life as she had previously received from others. As she herself admits, working with children and youth energizes and fulfills her immensely.
