Local ministry background:
Veronika comes from a Christian family. From childhood, the environment of her Christian family and church shaped her view on life and her values. At age 14, she dedicated to Jesus Christ as her Savior, and this became an important milestone in her faith. She has been involved in ministry since her youth, and it has gradually become a natural part of her life—whether working with children in Sunday school, serving among youth, or actively participating in the worship team. These experiences have taught her to organize and lead, but above all, to listen to children and young people and to be a source of support for them.
In 2025, she joined the team of workers of the nonprofit organization called the Spider’s Web and since that time has been actively involved in developing the Healthy Youth programs in the north Moravia region. Her HY ministry is highly valued by both pupils and teachers. She primarily offers the ‘Ethical Compass’ program series, which is geared toward elementary school pupils in grade 1—5.
She also participates as a lecturer and assistant in the realization of the Oasis experiential programs and is part of the team that prepares and conducts adaptational school retreats for sixth-graders.
Ultimately, her heart is for children and youth to hear the Gospel and encounter God’s love.
As part of her follow-up activities, Veronika is responsible for communicating with children via social media. She is also involved in a wide range of club and leisure-time activities organized by the Spider’s Web non-profit organization.
More about programs
How she became a HY Worker:
Veronika has many years of experience working with children and youth, and this work has been a part of her life practically from the very beginning.
As she herself writes: “Working with children and young people gives my life deep meaning. I enjoy teaching them, guiding them, supporting them, and listening to them as they navigate their way through life. I believe that investing in the next generation is of immense value. Working in a school setting fulfills me, brings me joy, and recharges my energy. For me, it’s more than just a job—it’s a God’s calling and ministry.”
Through her HY ministry, she would like to show today’s young generation an alternative to the consumerist and superficial values of contemporary society. “Through our HY programs, we want to show children a perspective on the world based on Christian values as an alternative to the consumerist values of today’s society.”
