The two-day training camp for Healthy Youth collaborators took place on 26-27. 9. 2011 and we chose for him a pleasant environment of the conference center Immanuel near the village of Dlouhý near Hlinsko . We chose well and we also had nice weather. The sun in the sky seemed to be a sign from above that the Lord God wants to put light and new power into our hearts during these two days – and that is also the very meaning of these concentrations.
The training was attended by all lecturers except Martin Růžička, who became ill. Pavel Kotouček from Olomouc, who is considering entering this type of service, was also with us. We also invited David Ř. and Bogdan Lach of Christian Youth Academy (KAM) to lead a concentration program.
Our topic was mainly the extracurricular part of our work (ie leisure activities), but in fact we ran debates in all areas of work – from schools to clubs, weekend or summer events, personal interviews, communication with young people using modern electronic means. etc.
Given that KAM employees know this personally well and David Ř. In addition, he was a lecturer of the Healthy Youth program for many years, Bogdan and David were great companions, encouragers, leaders and friends at the same time. We spent pleasant moments with a very interactive form of programs. Everyone present is very experienced in serving the young and spending two days in the debate of these people and sharing their views, experiences and matches is a real spiritual bath…
At the end of the program, we spontaneously prayed for each one individually. We are aware that good theory and preparation are a necessary condition for professional work in schools, but without God’s help, this work would be an empty – albeit successful – talk, not a real reinforcement in the lives of young people. Each of us is in a different situation and has different needs, so personal prayers for each individual are the best conclusion.
We very much appreciate the preparation and personal commitment of KAM staff. We appreciate their approach as equal to equals, but at the same time a clear direction of focus so that we always go one step further than we are now.
