The two days long workshop of the „Healthy Youth Project“ lectors was held as well as last year in a pleasant environment of conferential centre Immanuel (that belongs to the missionary organization Youth for Christ) near village Dlouhy closely to Hlinsko. It proved it is better for us to have a meeting in a centre of an organization arisen and living by faith. Moreover there is a really good facilities and service.
The Christian’s lecturing work in schools entered in a new phase this year. Never before, there have been engaged in the schools in the Czech Republic so many Christians like this year.
The team of lectors which we support in the schools has been extended to the number of 17 supported persons from original 10. Besides these there were other 7 lectors, who will be newly supported by the F-foundation: 3 lectors from the organization Tim 2,2 and other guests. On the whole, there met 37 persons.
It was immensely encouraging to see how individual lecturers and guests represented themselves and their services. After them followed no less interesting information on the activities and cooperation of both foundations: International Needs Network, which organized this workshop, and F-foundation, which joined us this year in order to help us to manage the unprecedented increase of new servants.
The workshop topic was the question: “What opens us the door to the schools?”. The individual lectors engaged in the panel discussions, in which 6 of them took part with short introductory comments. We agreed that this was the best part of the program when really experienced people were talking “to the purpose”. Many times we were again and again aware of the fact, the biblical values that are to the underpinning of our lives and our work are crucial for the success of the work on schools.
We exchanged knowledge on how develop the requirements of the school system at the lecture work and how keep up with them also. All the workshops proceeded in the spirit of enthusiasm, mutual sharing, and gratefulness for each other and in the spirit of common prayers.
It was a good start to the school year 2012-2013 we are about to enter.
