Hidden dangers of internet
It has been 1,5 year since Radim begun his work at schools in Jidrichuv Hradec and its surroundings. It was really on the Greenfield. Now we visited his programme for the 8th grade. Radim used to be a pastor and the leader of the mission group. Now he is coming to schools with the programme that can help young people to set the right direction for their lives.
Meanwhile Radim feels at schools like at home. He feels perfect at this work and schools very appreciate his work.
His programme about the dangers of internet leads the children through important areas where smaller or bigger or even very serious harms threaten. Specific cases of the misuse of the intimate pictures are being mentioned. Not uselessly scaring but also without any playing it down. Some of these stories speak about young people who came even to the suicide; in others these had deep and unpleasant influence on their lives.
Unaffected and friendly approach of Radim makes the lessons very original. Radim is a real „element“. He makes the group laughing about the witty situations but also makes students to discuss.
Students divide themselves into two groups in the beginning according to how much they feel the control of their parents about their internet behavior.
Radim asks them then whether it is good that their parents make some supervision above them.
Almost one half of them think so. During the lesson they have many opportunities to realize that it is REALLY very good that their parents care about them…!
Two-hours lesson goes by very quickly in the very positive atmosphere. This is Radims contribution into the lives of these children. He brought them not only important information but also a part of himself, his interest about them, possibility to look into his world.
